Wesley Weatherford is the Lead Pastor of Oasis Church in Hephzibah, GA (Augusta, GA). He is married to his best friend and ministry partner, Jessica, and together they have the privilege of raising three very active boys; Tyler, Colt and Griffin. He has served in full time ministry for over 15 years and is licensed as an Ordained Bishop through the Church of God. Together, Wesley and Jessica planted Oasis Church in 2008 with a desire to live out the mission of loving God and loving people. He is passionate about positively effecting change in the lives of others, locally and globally, through the power of Christ.
Chris Lotz and his wife Christy have been at Oasis since April of 2015. They have two daughters, Lily and Emma. Chris is passionate about sharing the life giving message of Christ in relevant ways. He also gets really excited about leading the leaders that are leading people to make a difference for God. Chris also finds great joy in bringing the joy of Gamecock pride in the midst of a Bulldog nation.
Megan has been a part of the Oasis family since 2012. She and her husband Ben have three children, Annabelle, Sawyer, and Adelyn, whom she also homeschools. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family at the beach or at the lake camping. Megan has been in ministry with children and youth since 2006, and has a background in education. She has a passion for seeing children come to know and grow in the love of Jesus Christ. Megan believes that the most important thing a church can do is pour into our children in order to prepare the next generation to serve in God’s kingdom. She wants the children of our church to know what it means to truly love God and love people.
Pastor Joshua and his family (Jessica, Josh, Jensen, and Juliet) have been a part of Oasis Church since the beginning. He began his music ministry career in 1986 (at age 12) and has been involved in music ministry ever since. Joshua is a full-time Principal in the Burke County School system and has served in that capacity for the last 6 years. Pastor Joshua leads a dynamic group of worshippers that seek to please God and bring glory to His name. The Brantley’s enjoy lots of outdoor adventures together as a family. From hunting to camping and even family games of football in the front yard, these guys love having fun together.
Technology & Media Director
Anthony Rodd loves to create in any way possible; from graphic design, photography, videography, and more. He does everything as excellent as he possibly can in order to grow God’s Kingdom. He has been serving in Ministry since 2004 and he has been serving at Oasis Church as the Technology and Media Director since 2017. Raised in Miami, Florida, Anthony enjoys anything out doors, fitness, video games, movies with his son, Conner. He has seen God move in a lot of ways since he has been at Oasis Church and can’t wait to see all that God does next in the coming seasons.
Children Ministry Intern
Roger Messner, or as he's more commonly known, R.J. has been a part of the Oasis family since November 2014. In 2015 RJ began serving on the OC Kids team. He instantly fell in love with the ministry and has not been able to leave since. RJ felt a calling for ministry his senior year of high school, upon graduation in 2016, RJ pursued his calling at Lee University where he studied Pastoral Ministry. June 2018 he decided it was best to continue his degree through the Lee online program. RJ was hired on staff in June as the Ministry Intern where he has been receiving training by the pastoral staff here at Oasis.
Maintenance Security Manager
Jerry has been attending Oasis with his wife Beth and children Autumn and Levi for 4 years. He has been active in multiple ministries in the church but has always found himself in the middle of serving during special projects and helping however he can with the maintenance of his church home. With a background in multiple maintenance related vocations, Jerry is now able to serve as the maintenance manager at Oasis. His passions include Alabama football, playing his guitar and singing, and being a part of making Oasis an amazing place to love God, love people, and make a difference.
